The Mithraist is an honest person who prefers uncomfortable truths to comfortable untruths (see here). And yet who sees that life can be made meaningful and deeply satisfying.

Living a virtuous life increases your feeling of self-worth and the respect of those around you. Good acts pay into the “virtue bank” of your community, and bad acts deplete it. Living in a community with credit in its virtue bank is a good life, and the contrary is like being a member of a band of baboons.


Set a good example by virtuous behaviour.

Display the gold-disk sun icon on your belongings.

Be ready to calmly explain your belief.

Be firm about your belief.

When faced with beliefs based on the supernatural, just smile, shake your head and say "That is not what I believe, I am a Mithraist".

When you meet other Mithraists:

• Greet them with the sun sign 🖐️
• Say "Nama Mithra" (if you like).
• Be kind to them.

Join the community of Mithraists, and feel you belong.

Mithraists help each other and form communities where they can feel happy and safe.

And remember, you don't need anyone to tell you what is right and wrong,
you already know, its instinctive.


Support the movement as best you can, and make the world a better place.
